Customer Guide: What We Need to Quote Your Lounge Area LED Strip Lighting Set-Up.

To provide an accurate and tailored quotation for your lounge lighting, please share the following details. Lounge areas benefit most from well-planned ambient and feature lighting, so the more information you provide, the better we can design a solution that suits your space.

Area and Run Measurements

Provide accurate measurements for each location where LED strip lighting will be installed, such as shelving, coving, ceilings, TVs, alcoves or, under furniture. Clear dimensions ensure correct strip lengths, quantities and accessories are supplied.

Type of LED Strip Light

Tell us which type of lighting you would prefer for your lounge. Options include standard LED strip, COB (spot-free), RGB/RGBW colour-changing, dual white, or pixel chasing -  depending on whether you want soft ambience, decorative effects or, statement lighting.


Brightness Level

Let us know how bright you would like the lighting to be. Lounge areas typically require lower, softer lighting for comfort, but feature areas such as shelving, artwork or media walls may benefit from brighter, dimmable illumination.

Preferred Colour Temperature

Choose the look and feel you’d like for your lounge: warm white, natural white, cool white, dual white, or RGBW colour-changing. This helps create the desired atmosphere - from cosy and relaxing to modern and dynamic.

Custom Length Requirements

If you require LED strips cut to exact sizes and supplied with soldered cable tails (for shelves, alcoves or coves), please confirm the measurements for each run.

 

Connection and Link Cable Needs

Let us know if link cables are needed for corners or gaps. This is especially useful for ceiling, shelving layouts, media walls or feature installations.

 

Power Supply and Wattage

Provide the total length of LED strip run required for each area so the correct power supply size and quantity can be calculated.


Dimming or Smart Controls

Tell us if you require dimming or smart control systems, such as:


  • Dimmable wall switches
  • Remote controls
  • Wireless wall controller
  • App or smart home integration
    This ensures your lighting suits both mood and usability.


Aluminium Channels or Diffusers

If required, specify whether you would like surface-mounted, recessed, corner or plaster-in channels. These provide a clean, professional finish and protect the LED strip while diffusing light evenly.


Visibility Considerations

Will the LED strip lighting be hidden (behind coving, under shelving, inside furniture) or visible as part of the design? This determines the type of LED and channel required.


IP Rating Requirements

If your lounge includes an area close to moisture (such as a bar zone or indoor-outdoor transition area), please advise if water-resistant lighting is needed.
