Customer Guide: What We Need to Quote Your Kitchen & Bathroom LED Strip Light set-up.

Cupboard and Lighting Area Measurements
Provide the exact lengths of cupboards, shelves, plinths, mirrors, alcoves, or under-cabinet areas where you would like LED strip lights to be installed. Accurate measurements help us supply the correct lengths and accessories.

Type of LED Strip
Decide whether you prefer standard, high-density, LED strip, COB, RGB/RGBW, or dual-white LED strip lights, based on the look and functionality you want to achieve.

Brightness Level
Consider how bright you need the lighting to be - i.e detailed tasks, soft accent lighting, or overall room ambience.

Preferred Colour Temperature
Choose a colour tone that suits your space, from warm white for a cosy feel, natural to cool white for a clean, modern look.

Custom Length Requirements
Let us know if you’d like your LED strips supplied pre-cut to specific lengths, complete with soldered cable tails, ensuring a perfect fit during installation.

Joins and Link Cable Needs
Tell us if you need link cables to navigate corners, tight bends, or separate runs where strips cannot be directly connected.

Power Supply and Wattage
Share the total length of LED strip you require in each area so that we can calculate the right driver size to power your setup.

Dimming or Smart Controls
Decide whether you want TRIAC Dimmable Constant Voltage LED Drivers, (mains dimming) or, hand held remote control options, wireless wall controller or smart app-based lighting control.

Aluminium Channels or Diffusers
Providing heat dissipation.  Options: surface-mounted, recessed, corner, plaster-in or floor channels complete with mounting clips and and diffusers for smoother lighting and professional finish.

Visibility Considerations
Tell us whether your LED strips will be hidden (e.g. under cabinets) or visible (e.g. around mirrors or shelves), as this determines the type of LED strip and style of channel / diffuser you may need.

IP Rating Requirements
Confirm whether standard indoor strips are suitable or if moisture-resistant or splash-proof options are required -particularly important in bathrooms.

  • IP20 for protected areas

  • IP55/IP67 if close to sinks, steam or open areas

Other points to consider:

Brightness (Lumens)

Kitchen counters need proper task lighting.

  • Under-cabinet task lighting

  • Accent lighting

  • Use higher output if you have darker worktops.

Colour Temperature

Choose the right warmth of light:

  • 3000K (Warm white): cosy

  • 4000K (Natural white): ideal for kitchens

  • 5000K+ (Cool white): very bright/clinical

LED Density

Higher density = smoother light.

  • Recommended: 90–480 LEDs per metre - Important on glossy surfaces to avoid visible dots.

Strip Type

  • 12V/24V

  • COB strips for a continuous, dot-free line of light

  • RGB/RGBW if you want colour effects (not ideal for task lighting but perfect for an adjacent snug room)

Any Special Requirements
Include any unique details to your space.
